Varieties of …

This post was inspired by an article on the variety of shrimp in Alaska which immediately made me think of Judy Johnson’s book about growing up in Alaska – Alaskan Pioneer Girl.

Then it got me thinking – there are over 122 varieties of banana (a Guardian article in March 2024 puts the number at over 1,000) and there are over 100 varieties of coffee, let alone tea. We’re spoilt for choice! at least in theory.

Here at TSL, we have a variety of authors, writing in a variety of genres and on a variety of topics. I wonder how many more times I can use the word variety…
