Sidney and Sydney
I was reminded of the Sidney Sheldon books in the History of Gatooma Library. I can’t claim to have read any of them though.
Did you know there is a series called Sidney and Sydney? I didn’t until I went looking for books involving Sidney and Sydney.
It seems fitting to include Sydney J Harris in this short collection as he was a journalist as well as novelist. He keeps good company with TSL’s Arnie Wilson.
In other books published by TSL, Sidney features in
Albatross by David Stroud
Musings of an Inadequate Golfer by Malcolm Allen – Sidney is an irritating golf partner
while Sydney Eddison is quoted in Heaven’s Rage by Leslie Tate
The place Sydney happens to be where Arnie Wilson’s friend Bob Friend gets a posting in Big Name Hunting and it’s naturally a place Andrew Samson mentions in his diary of a cricket statistican called The Moon is Toast.
So it seems fitting to include the Sydney Review of Books here too.
